Dan’s Flathead Valley roots go back for generations. He’s a member of a family that owns the Flathead Lake Lodge, the acclaimed dude ranch resort that has served guests for over 60 years. Dan started down the real estate path in the early 1970s, back when waterfront sold for $100 per foot (we kid you not) and a handshake often sealed the deal. In 1974, he bought an historic log cabin in downtown Bigfork that was once a post office and drugstore. Today, that same log cabin is the home office of Trails West Eagle Bend Realty.
Like Dan, the husband-wife team of Tom and Katie Brown have been part of the real estate landscape for years. They have helped countless clients buy and sell property and have closed many a multi-million dollar deal. As business has grown, several other Trails West Eagle Bend offices have been added – in Bigfork Bay, Harbor Village (at Eagle Bend Golf Course), Lakeside and two in Whitefish.
Dan, Tom and Katie have surrounded themselves with talented people who share their love of Montana and their passion for helping others enjoy this special place. We all understand how important it is to preserve the quality of life here. Which is why we work with groups such as the Nature Conservancy and join in efforts to achieve responsible growth.
We have seen the Flathead Valley change significantly over the years. The growth has been astounding. But still, the small-town values and good relationships we started with have not eroded. We take great pride in representing the best of Montana – land, property, people and spirit. Our history is here, and so is our future.
